Why these files exist

01 / Definition

CSS connects the font

Each stylesheet defines an @font-face rule: the family name, weight, and location of its font files. Both weights share the name Visa Dialect.

02 / Delivery

Font files carry the type

WOFF2 is the first choice for compact web delivery. WOFF is a fallback for older supporting clients. The original TTF files remain in the repository but are not referenced by the CSS.

03 / Hierarchy

Two weights, clear roles

Regular (400) supports body copy and longer reading. Bold (700) gives headings and emphasis their own real font file, instead of relying on synthetic browser bold.

Using the fonts in Stripo

Public HTTPS hosting required

Publish the stylesheets and fontsource/ folder together, preserving the directory structure. Use the public stylesheet URLs when configuring custom fonts in Stripo.

Always include a fallback

font-family: 'Visa Dialect', Arial, sans-serif;
font-weight: 400;

/* Headings and emphasis */
font-weight: 700;

A browser preview is not an email compatibility test. Gmail and classic Outlook for Windows generally do not load custom web fonts. Adding TTF does not fix that limitation; recipients may see Arial instead.

Test a sent email in your target clients and confirm that your font license permits web and email embedding.
